For those who may be interested in participating in the BirdReturns Program this fall, please note that the current bidding window will close on Tuesday, July 31 at 5:00 pm. This is a ricelands habitat program implemented by The Nature Conservancy in coordination with the CRC.

For his role stewarding several significant rice wildlife programs, California Rice Commission Environmental Affairs Manager Paul Buttner was honored at today’s USA Rice Outlook Conference in San Diego.
Buttner received the ninth annual Distinguished Conservation Achievement Award, for shepherding many unique conservation programs and fostering strong partnerships that pay significant dividends for the industry.
Those planning on attending tomorrow’s BirdReturns Workshop should note a venue change. The meeting will still start at 11 a.m. as previously stated, but instead it will be held at the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau Office on 475 North Palora Avenue. READ MORE
