Massive Agricultural Convention and Trade Show coming to California

The 2018 Commodity Classic, billed as the nation’s largest farmer-led convention and trade show, will be held in Anaheim February 27 through March 1.

The three-day convention will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center. Included will be a series of educational sessions, covering topics such as farm policy, soil health, fertility and cover crops.

The trade show will be open for all three days and will feature more than 360 exhibitors, covering nearly 2,000 booth spaces with the latest technology.

Certified or Enrolled Seed required in 2019

A reminder that, in order to control weedy rice, all rice acres must be planted with seed enrolled in a California Crop Improvement Association (CCIA) certification or quality assurance program beginning in 2019. This regulation, supported by the industry, was adopted in 2017 and provided for the limited use of farm-saved seed for two years until all seed could be enrolled in a program. READ MORE
