Farm to Fork Festival coming this Saturday

Farm to Fork Festival coming this Saturday

This Saturday marks the fourth annual Farm to Fork Festival on Capitol Mall in Sacramento, a free event running from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The entire CRC staff will operate a California Rice Booth near the corner of 5th and Capitol, close to the harvester. We will have a large monitor debuting drone footage of this year’s harvest, as well as our latest infographics and publications that provide important information to consumers such as our economic and environmental benefits. We will also be providing eco-friendly rice bags and recipe cards. In addition, we look forward to face-to-face dialogue with consumers about our crop.

Another important opportunity is the California Rice demonstration from noon to 12:45 p.m. We are fortunate to have Chef/Owner Craig Takehara of Binchoyaki Restaurant prepare two California Rice dishes. ABC 10 personality Mark S. Allen is scheduled to emcee the demonstration.

Last year’s Farm to Fork Festival attracted an estimated 75,000 people.
