NRCS working through many RCPP Applications

Now that the third application period for our Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) is closed, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is working hard to process all of the paperwork and notify applicants about their approval decisions.

While there is still much we don’t yet know about the final numbers, it certainly appears that the demand for this year’s program was stronger than we had anticipated. Due to the strong demand, it appears likely that we will obligate the remaining $2.2 million of the Rice RCPP funding on this round of projects.

We appreciate the NRCS working so hard to expedite the screening and ranking of these projects to determine which ones will be funded in this banner year of interest in our conservation programs. We’re hopeful that this process will be completed by early next week.
