Fines for farm evaluation non-compliance

The Central Valley Water Board will begin enforcing against farming operations for failure to submit a Farm Evaluation by the due date of March 1, 2015. Farming operations could face fines as high as $1,000 per day for every day after the due date. As of the date of Central Valley Water Board letter (May 21), the maximum fine would be $81,000.
